The Kamdhenu, the wish-fulfilling cow of Vrindavan, rendered in 925 sterling silver and set with moissanite. This is the piece our collectors come to first, and the one they remember.
The motif belongs to Nathdwara, the Rajasthani town where Pichwai painting has adorned the shrine of Shrinathji for more than three centuries. Here that devotional language is carried into silver, the sacred cow, the symbol of abundance and divine grace in the Pushtimarg tradition, hand-formed and hand-enamelled by artisans who have spent their lives with this art.
Every surface is worked by hand. The enamel is laid by eye, in the deep temple palette of Pichwai, and the moissanite is set to catch light the way the original paintings catch it in candlelit shrines. There is no mould and no shortcut, which is why no two pieces are ever identical, and why a brooch like this cannot simply be reordered.
It is worn at the moments that deserve it, on the bandhgala or sherwani of a groom, at the heart of a Govardhan Puja gathering, or kept quietly as the heirloom it is meant to become. A devotional object first, a piece of fine jewellery always.
