Shri Girirajji, the hill of Govardhan that Krishna raised on a single finger to shelter the people of Vraj, is among the most revered forms in the Pushtimarg tradition. Here it is carried into 925 sterling silver, hand-enamelled in the temple palette and set with Swarovski crystal, whose clarity and cut bring a bright, radiant light to the piece.
The depiction is complete, exactly as it is held in devotion: the Goverdhan Shila at the centre, the peacock, the sacred cow, and the seven dhajaji rising above. Every element is laid by hand, which is why the brooch reads less as jewellery and more as a darshan you can carry, the whole of Govardhan, in miniature.
There is no mould. Each is finished individually, so no two are quite alike. It is worn on the bandhgala, sherwani, kurta, or blazer, and equally as a saree pin, a devotional object first, a piece of fine jewellery always.
This is the Swarovski crystal version of our Girirajji brooch. For those who prefer the harder, more brilliant stone, the same design is also offered set with moissanite.
