The Pichwai Kamdhenu, the wish-fulfilling cow, the symbol of abundance and grace in the Pushtimarg tradition, hand-formed in 925 sterling silver and finished in warm gold plating. The art descends from Nathdwara, where Pichwai painting has adorned the shrine of Shrinathji for more than three centuries; the gold gives that devotional motif a richer, more regal warmth than our white-silver pieces.
At 1.6 inches, this is the most compact of the gold-plated cow brooches, understated and refined, the kind of piece that sits quietly on a lapel and rewards a closer look. Its scale, and its place at the most accessible point of the gold-plated design, make it a natural first gold piece and a considered gift.
It is worn on the bandhgala, sherwani, kurta, or blazer, and equally as a saree pin or sir pench, a devotional object first, a piece of fine craft always. The same gold-plated design is offered in larger 1.75-inch and 2.25-inch sizes.
